Privacy & Cookie Policy

Radio Spandex is in it for the full dance floor, not for your data. Below you’ll find, without the legal detours, which data we collect, why we collect it and what say you have in it. Still got a question? Just mail hello@radiospandex.be.
Who processes your data?
The data controller is:
DIDECO NV, trading as Radio Spandex
’s Gravenstraat 198 i, 9810 Nazareth, Belgium · Company number BE 0450.293.301
hello@radiospandex.be · +32 472 715 195
What data do we collect?
What you fill in yourself. The booking form asks for your name, email address, phone number, the date of your event and your message. Only your name, email address and message are required — the rest simply lets us answer with something concrete instead of a follow-up question.
What gets recorded automatically. Our hosting provider logs technical details of every visit: IP address, browser type, requested page and timestamp. That is needed to keep the site running, secure it and track down failures.
What we don’t do: sell your data, send unsolicited advertising, or build profiles of visitors.
Why, and for how long?
| Data | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Your enquiry through the form | Answering your question and preparing a quote or booking | Up to 2 years after the last contact |
| Data from an actual booking | Performing the agreement and meeting our accounting obligations | 7 years (statutory retention period) |
| Technical visit data | Keeping the site running and secure | Limited, per our hosting provider’s retention period |
| Visitor statistics | Seeing which pages visitors find useful | 14 months at most |
The legal bases are: steps taken at your request prior to a contract and the performance of that contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR), our legitimate interest in a working and secure website (art. 6.1.f GDPR), a legal obligation for our accounts (art. 6.1.c GDPR), and your consent for analytics cookies (art. 6.1.a GDPR).
Who do we share it with?
Only with parties that help us keep the site and our operation running. They may use your data solely for the task we give them, never for purposes of their own.
- Netlify — website hosting and processing of form submissions.
- Cloudinary — storage and delivery of the event photos on this site.
- Our accountant, and where needed our legal advisors.
Part of that processing takes place outside the European Economic Area, on the basis of the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies and similar techniques
We deliberately keep this minimal.
Necessary and functional. Your choice between the dark and light theme is stored locally in your browser. No consent is needed for that, and the information never leaves your device.
We don’t use marketing or tracking cookies. No advertising pixels, no social media trackers. Embedded YouTube videos use privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): they only set cookies once you actually play the video. The links to our Facebook and Instagram pages are ordinary links: nothing is shared until you click.
Photos on this site
The gallery shows live shows, and therefore audiences too. Are you in a photo and would you rather not be online? One mail to hello@radiospandex.be and we take it down. No explanation needed.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for:
- access to the data we hold about you;
- correction of data that is wrong;
- erasure of your data;
- restriction of or objection to the processing;
- portability of your data in a readable format;
- withdrawal of your consent, without affecting what happened before that.
Send your request to hello@radiospandex.be; we reply within a month. To avoid handing data to the wrong person, we may ask you to identify yourself.
If you’re not happy with our answer, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — contact@apd-gba.be — dataprotectionauthority.be.
Security
The site runs entirely over a secure connection (HTTPS). Form submissions land in a protected environment, accessible only to the people within Radio Spandex who follow up on your request.
Changes
If something changes in how we work, we update this policy. The date at the top tells you when that last happened.
